A Review of Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai! Ren (SPOILER ALERT!!!!)

I'm posting this review because this anime was one of the animes that I was waiting for and because it is good to watch. It is funny to watch although the story itself has been changed (a lot, yeah, literally a lot) when it is adapted as an anime. BTW, this is Chuunibyou second season although the title is Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai! Ren. I had posted a review of its season 1 (BE CAREFUL...the link leads to the spoiler for Chu2 Season 1) before...but let's proceed on, shall we?

I was anticipating for this anime, which is the second season of Chuunibyou, for some time. I anticipated for it because I anticipate the love triangle between Takanashi Rikka (小鳥游立花) and Shichimiya Satone (七宮智音)

But sadly, it is far from being a love triangle. I found out the second season of the series is similar to the first season. Basically, it starts with some funny scenes where it involves the club members. Then, you will find out that Rikka & Yuuta are under the same roof. Well, they didn't kiss (in terms of mouth to mouth) in the whole series but there are kisses though.

Trust me, it is not a kiss, just touching the nose like Shichimiya did.

BTW, the similarity of both season goes like this:-

Jokes and Character Intro  ===>  Beach Scene  ==> Love sparks  ==>  Resolution/ Confession

There are a few things that are different:-

1. Rikka's love sparks in Yuuta's house after the train ride back home, whilst Shichimiya's love reignites (she was in love with Yuuta during his Chu2 period) on the train back.
2. Rikka's confessed to Yuuta under the bridge whilst Shichimiya never expresses her love for Yuuta (Yuuta knew it from Nibutani).
3. The first season with Rikka getting together with Yuuta whilst, in season 2, Shichimiya 'resolved' it with 'fighting' against the dark flame dragon 'summoned' by Yuuta and Rikka.
4. The last episode of season 1 was quite 'feel-ish' episode but the last episode in season 2 was much lighter compared to the season. (NOTE: It is just my opinion.)

BTW, KyoAni (short for Kyoto Animation) has done a great job in bringing out the comedy and the delusion of the characters in the series. This anime nicely displays itself as a romantic comedy because of the good mix of comedy in the anime and the good mix of romance between Rikka and Yuuta. I feel sad for Shichimiya...but she chose her 'powers' rather than romance. So, basically, I have nothing to say...except that she didn't take the chance when she can. Again, this season's Chuunibyou does tally very much with the light novel. Same as the last season.

Clash of the Titans?

If you ask about whether there will be a third season for this anime, I will say that there MIGHT be a third season and the second season will be the last season theory MIGHT disintegrate. This is because the third (and the last, maybe) novel is just (SUDDENLY) launch this year after the novel series has not been continued for 3 YEARS! (NOT PORTRAYED in this season AT ALL!! (Of course la!)) Therefore, my argument is that there might be a third season and the second season is the last season theory might be proven wrong.
