Battleships and Cute Girls from Haifuri

Recently, I've opened a page (on this blog) and it looks like nobody is bothered reading it (or maybe didn't notice it or maybe don't know?). So well...never mind, it's just about the list of anime that is being reviewed or might be reviewed on this blog. So...today, I will be talking about cute girls AND.......battleship!!!!!! Hahaha!!! OK?...You guessed the anime already? If not...well, if you want to know, you can go ahead and continue to read this post.

Haifuri!!!!

Oh my...there is so much cuteness and suspense in this anime...OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!! OK, OK, sorry, I got a little too carried away. OK, let's get on with the story.

The story starts with a girl named Misaki Akeno (who also will be our MC for this anime), together with her childhood friend, China Moeka enrols at Yokosuka Girls' Marine High School in Yokosuka, Kanagawa to become one of the highly regarded Blue Mermaids. Well, FYI, the Blue Mermaids are like navy patrol unit, are tasked with keeping the seas safe.

Saving people from the sinking ship...

Well, long story short, Akeno and Moeka are assigned in a different battleship, Moeka assigned in one of the most powerful warship, Musashi BUT Akeno is assigned in a well...not a very prestigious warship, Harekaze (BTW, fictitious ship). One thing that they have in common is that they are captains of their respective warships. OK, before they go for their training session, they are being briefed by their instructors. Well, at this point, we are focusing more on the crews on this fictitious ship, Harekaze.

Well, we were introduced to a person who always somehow get unlucky(and always complaining about her 'unluckiness'), Munetani Mashiro. OK, we are also introduced to a number of characters in the battleship including one of my favourite, Irizaki Mei. As they set off aboard the destroyer ship Harekaze, they had a sudden stop to the engine and judgement of direction by the ship's Chief Navigator, Shiretoko Rin on the way to their first training session.

Late, huh...

All of a sudden, when they are approaching the location, they are attacked by their instructor. By the end of the day, they are suddenly being accused of mutiny(due to them attacked the instructor's battleship, which is intended to disable the ship and for self-defence). Thus, Akeno must lead her crew in sailing the Harekaze as they try to find the truth about what's happening while also avoiding pursuit. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is why I love this anime! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What?! Mutiny?!

There are too much excitement and cliffhanger in this anime. I...I...I...CANNOT tell you much or else...I just...man, you know what? I will brief you on which battleship did Akeno and her gang encounter first. They encountered German cruiser Admiral Graf Spee, which suppose to join them for their first training, TWICE! And then they encounter Musashi, twice and Hiei, once. Well, they also encounter a submarine, I-201 from another school, Toumai Marine Boys' High School.

WOW...That is...bad...

Well, they later found out the problem and the solution for the sudden rage of madness (and of course, solving the problem or not it will be really...never mind.) and then with the bonding between crew members of the battleship, Harekaze (Duh, the MC of the anime is in this battleship). As a conclusion to my review, I would say that the anime did way better than people think it would on the first glance. You WILL regret if you judge that it is not worthy for you to watch, it will just an all-girl yuri anime. NO!!! You will know it if you watched it.
