Strike Vividly with ViVid Strike!!! Wait, is That Even Possible?!
Hi! It has been a while since I had review Nanoha, Nanoha A's and Nanoha StrikerS. I'm back from my church's youth camp just a few days back. Oh yeah, I need to wait for Nanoha Vivid to have a season 2 before I review it as season 1 ended in a kind of cliffhanger (or should I say in an awkward position) so I'd decided to review this anime first.
Oh, BTW, I will be reviewing Vivid Strike, a spinoff of Nanoha Vivid series, on this blog post. It's OK to watch it without watching the whole Nanoha series if want to BUT it is better that you watched the WHOLE Nanoha series, including watching Nanoha ViVid anime and read the manga in order to know the character better. In terms not knowing the character's name, it's not really a concern as you will be told on the names of characters (Duh! Plus, it makes absolutely NO SENSE to not include the character's names). Well, that is if you are OK with just sticking to this anime alone without the need of watching the whole Nanoha series. I doubt that EVERY reader of this post has watched the whole Nanoha series. Well, let's move on.

OK, where do we start? OK, this anime is a spin-off of Nanoha ViVid. That's all for the background. Oh yeah, if you have watched Nanoha ViVid anime (season 1) and read the manga (and of course, watch the rest of Nanoha series), you will know the characters better than the people that choose to watch ViVid Strike only (except for a few characters...we will talk about them later).
OK, the story starts with a girl named Fuuka Reventon (a character not in Nanoha ViVid) who fought against a bunch of thugs and subsequently loses her job after she argued and fought with her estranged childhood friend, Rinne Berlinetta (another character not in Nanoha ViVid). She was picked up Einhart and was sent to the hospital by her. She then later joins Nakajima Gym as a worker and a magical martial artist. Well, Einhart becomes her martial arts master...Yes, it's true. Anyway, she later decided to meet her estranged childhood friend in a fight during the winter magical martial arts competition. Why? I don't really understand it myself. It feels weird.
I heard that this story is held one or two years after the timeline of ViVid, with Vivio Takamachi attending fifth grade in St. Hilde Academy of Magic and Nakajima Gym had already replaced Team Nakajima. This statement...Well, I can't confirm it but since this is a spin-off of the original Nanoha ViVid, I will take it as an alternative story route to Nanoha ViVid and accept it as a fact FOR NOW. Anyways, there is one interesting thing if you haven't noticed it. There is a tagline underneath the title, ViVid Strike. It says:

"Thou shall not be afraid, I am with you."WOW, what a tagline. It is BEFITS the anime's storyline and its theme, friendship. Well, the storyline that revolves around Fuuka's improving her martial arts skills is well constructed. It EVEN included the development of the side characters like Vivio and Miura. YES, Vivio AND Miura are the side characters in this story but just happen to appear more often. That's ALL. Anyway, this anime is well done and have REALLY good suspense and cliffhangers along the way. It ends pretty nicely for both Rinne and Fuuka. Trust me but I won't tell you the ending. You will have to watch it yourself.
