Bringing You Through a Magical Journey with the Nanoha Anime Series!!!
Hello, once again readers! I'm glad that you are going read through this post. I had watched the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series during the month before my finals come. You might be asking, "Why are you doing that?" You see, because of Vivid Strike...I found that it is a spinoff of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid anime so I decided to watch the WHOLE SERIES in order to understand the story better. I will review Vivid Strike next time, not on this post.
BTW, I also found out that this series is...WAIT, I will stop right there. I will mention it later on this post. OK, I will review two anime from this series. Guess which two? (I think you could guess right away if you had watched this series before.)

The two anime are...Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha!!!
and...Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's!!!
Well...I choose these two out of the Nanoha franchise to talk about in the post together because the next two is vastly different than the next few franchises of the series as they are far apart from each other in terms of the anime timeline. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS (in Japanese, 魔法少女リリカルなのはStrikerS) is about another bunch of people under Hayate, Nanoha and Fate's team that investigates the incidents that surround the dangerous Lost Logia, the Relic, a red diamond-like crystallized energy, while Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid (in Japanese, 魔法少女リリカルなのはViVid) talks about Nanoha's world after the Relics incident through Vivio (Nanoha and Fate's adopted child) and her friends' eyes. And...about ViVid Strike, just a spin-off of Nanoha ViVid series, with an addition of two new characters and the lack appearance of the 1st gen Nanoha characters.
I will talk about them next time BUT for now, the first season of the Nanoha series first. OK, a bit of background story first. This anime is originally a spin-off series of the Triangle Heart 3 that got a life of its own and takes off as a somewhat independent series. Nanoha was the minor character in Triangle Heart 3. Well, this series has become a somewhat independent full-fledged multimedia series of its own, with a HUGE BUNCH manga series such as Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Innocent etc. So with the background story settled, let's get to the story right away.
OK, the story starts with Nanoha Takamachi, our main character, is a nine-year-old Japanese girl attending elementary school who lives with her family. One day, she and her friends rescued an injured ferret, who will reveal himself to Nanoha as an archaeologist from a parallel universe who came to Earth to collect a set of 21 dangerous ancient artefacts named 'Jewel Seed' that he first discovered in his own world. He will later reveal himself as a young shapeshifting mage named Yūno Scrya. BTW, these artefacts give ANY living beings that come in contact with them unnatural powers, in which often turning them into monsters.
Since the poor Yūno got injured while trying to collect them, Nanoha is then tasked with collecting the Jewel Seed while he convalesces in ferret form. He gives Nanoha an "intelligent device" (Well, it's just a magical wand) called "Raising Heart" to assist her in her task. She later then encounters another magical girl named Fate Testarossa and her familiar named Arf. The two of them will oppose Nanoha in order to gather ALL of the Jewel Seed. Well, the rest of the story is for you to catch up to. Not me. I only brief you on the story. SERIOUSLY, I watched it. It is a great story, for those who didn't watch it. As for those who have watched it, I won't have much to say as you should know the story already.
OK, let's start with the second season of the Nanoha franchise. It starts with the events that happened six months after, prior to the previous incident (or the previous season for our case). Our ga...our new BFF in the making, Nanoha and Fate have been exchanging video mail to tell each other of their situations on Earth and in the Time-Space Administration Bureau respectively. So, they are kind of exchanging CDs with themselves on it. Well, if you didn't watch the previous season, good luck in knowing why they suddenly become friends after being an adversary to each other previously. Don't worry, you will satisfy to know why. Trust me.
Anyway, on the night when Fate is going to meet Nanoha, Nanoha was attacked by a girl named Vita, who was a part of the four Belkan Knights (who called themselves the Wolkenritter) on a quest of filling the Book of Darkness (or previously, a very long time ago, the Tome of the Night Sky) using magician's and monster's linker core. Well, the four Belkan Knight is part of the Book's Guardian Knight system. They are Signum, Zafira, Shamal, and Vita, the girl that attacked Nanoha. Why? Because they WANTED to protect their master, a wheelchair-bound bound girl named Hayate Yagami. For more details on this book and the Guardian Knights, well...you can either search it yourself or watch it yourself. It is a lot for me to mention it here.
Cut the long story short, the knights retreated, yes, ALL of the Knights later appeared later during the fight, and also Nanoha's friend. The magical seal over the area is somewhat broken by Nanoha. Nanoha's and Fate's magical wand badly damaged and they themselves are injured quite badly. Nanoha's linker core has been taken. Quite a bad defeat, right? Don't worry, they will get an 'upgrade' with the cartilage system installed, which could damage their magical wands if not used carefully. Nanoha, together with her friends and Time-Space Administration Bureau will solve the mystery of the Book of Darkness, the Belkan Knights and their master. Let the adventure BEGINS!!! The rest of the story is for you to explore. Seriously, the story had a good mix of drama and fights so...GO AND WATCH IT (for those who didn't watch it)!!!!
Well, that is the end. As I've said, the next two series and the two movies of Nanoha (the names are Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the Movie 2nd A's) will not be reviewed here in this post. BTW, there is a season 2 of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid (Not really announced but it was listed anyway) and a 3rd movie (named Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection) incoming on 2017 (This is already announced and also there is a trailer already).
