Just wanna share a beautiful song from the Aikatsu movie...Enjoy!
Hi! How is life? I have recently slowed down a bit in terms of publishing new blog posts because last week was a busy week, especially for the first 3 days. Also, I did have a little hard time writing out the blog post about Mushoku Tensei's 1st ending song. Well, I made it in the end, isn't it?
The Etude of Radiance... |
Anyway, since last week was also another busy week for me, leaving me really weary and still lacking the motivation to increase or maintain the intensity of publishing new posts about anime still persists, I'm gonna talk about another anime song, Etude of Radiance. LET GO!
WARNING:-
Although this post is just me talking about a certain anime song, there might be SPOILERS from the anime. If you are planning to watch the anime without any spoilers, you can either continue to read or move on.
P.S. If you want to be spoiled, well, go ahead and read it, you HAVE been warned. Don't blame me for being spoiled if you insist on continuing to read this post.
Introduction
The album... |
The song, Kagayaki no Etude (in Japanese, 輝きのエチュード), translated in English as the Etude of Radiance is the insert theme song of Aikatsu! The Movie. Remember that movie? This is the song sung by Hoshimiya Ichigo's singing voice actor, Waka from STAR☆ANIS. There is also the prototype version, which is sung by Kodama Saori, Kanon's singing voice. The song is written by Kodama Saori and was composed and arranged by Ishihama Kakeru from MONACA. Anyway, moving on...

Asking Naoto a favour... |
This song...well, it was made by Kanon in the anime (leaving aside the real-life writer for the moment as we talk about the Aikatsu movie). Keeping it short, Ichigo wanted to have someone to make a song for her to sing at the special concert. She, together with Aoi and Ran, first asks Naoto Suzukawa the cleaning guy who is secretly a band member to write a song for her, but Naoto says he won't be the right person, but instead leads them to another person, Kanon, a local singer and songwriter.

...and also, a parfait party!!! |
Well, they then went and met her when she was having a street concert. They approached and convinced her to make a song for Ichigo for her upcoming concert. She later found Mizuki's intention to quit being an idol when she responded to her message by entering the venue where she was gonna have the concert will be held. This whole encounter left her shocked and possibly slightly sad. She told her best friends, Ran and Aoi about this.
That moment...sad... |
Anyway, regardless of what Mizuki said, she decided to do her best for her concert while keeping her hopes of Mizuki attending this concert alive. To cut the long story short, Akari who is also part of the team to help Ichigo with her concert, successfully convinced Mizuki to attend while Ichigo was preparing for her concert. And well, well, she sang the song that I'm talking about right now.
Mizuki's confession... |
Before the song was sung, Mizuki came in and the dress for this special occasion has just arrived. Wow. The climax it is. After the song was sung, Mizuki reveals her fear and the reason why she previously refused to attend. She then invites Akari to come with her on stage to perform with Ichigo. The concert is...of course, hyped for the sudden special performance.
The special trio for the occasion. xD |
Why the long-winded story? Well, I feel that it's important for you to know the context of this song. Yes, it's a love song, obviously. It's also Ichigo's way to give her audience and fans a smile on their faces, bring warmth to their heart and give them the strength to move on in life. Well, that's the essence of what she said before singing this song. Isn't the song sweet, warm and fuzzy? I really like it a lot. Maybe I will...yeah...never mind, anyway, let's move on.

Conclusion
Hi, you're here? Nice, I'm glad that you reached here. Recently, I've been trying to motivate myself to write a blog post. It hasn't been easy though. Anyway, this song is relatively easy to translate. It's just that it took a while to push myself to complete my translation job and write out what I think of this song. Time for me to move on. I hope that you enjoy reading and browsing this blog. Goodbye, and God bless you!
