Weekly Post: Yes, I got Lappland alt!!!! Also, many more things...

Hey, people! How are you? I'm doing fine. Sorry for the slow publishing of new blog posts. It's been quite a long while since that post on Chuunibyou season 1's opening theme song. I wanted to publish a blog post on the anime BokuYaba seasons 1 and 2, but it has not been doing well so far. I blame the lack of inspiration and motivation, and also, work and game time, that drags this progress. I will try to make it happen, though. Don't worry about it.

Great art. Credit to Conor O'Brien.

So, I had an idea of posting random stuff that I just wanna share here weekly. But, because of my job this week, I couldn't publish this last week. It really depends on my workload and other factors like not having things that I would like to share, so there might be times that I skip a week or two or even more, either because of work or the lack of things I'm comfortable sharing, just like this one. Anyway, let's go!

Last Week...

Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning...

last week's theme has mostly been cleaning. Because the company plans to do something about the dormant HP 3D printer and desires to renovate the lab a bit, I had to make time to clear out the rubbish and clutter in the room for the HP printer.

The powder in the build unit, processing station and the external tank (which is just a metal drum) must be disposed of to move the machine out of the lab. It's truly unfortunate because the machine will be operational after some repairs. But, the cost of repair is beyond economical because the cost of recertifying the machine and buying the parts is a huge cost to repair a machine that was discontinued on October 1st, 2024 and will reach the end of life 5 years later, which is in 2029 of the same date. Also, even if the machine is currently operational, there is currently no good way to make use of it other than printing stuff for fun. Yes, printing stuff for fun is a waste for a for-profit organisation.

The huge cost and lack of economic feasibility to fix it meant that my company had every good reason to get rid of it in any way possible. But, so far, I don't see a way to sell it to anyone because of its high cost of operation and recertifying the machine. Otherwise, the machine will not be in the situation that it is in at the moment. The most likely ending for this machine is getting scrapped rather than having someone to take it on. It will be great if someone takes on this machine, which means I have a new job for this machine. Great stuff, but that might just be a bit too idealistic. NEXT!

New Installation...Almost Went Wrong

Installation, installation, installation...this installation of a simple incubator should've been a simple task, but it has almost become a nightmare. Well, I found the problem and sorted it out. It was a success in the end. Thank God!

Update (the week after): The customer had a few demands that make closing this deal after the installation tricky. It was close that this deal could resolve.

Ice Cream, I Scream, AiScReam

Ice cream, I scream, AiScReam...Initially, I took it as a pun when it was really viral. After I personally listened to their hit song, especially that live performance that broke the internet, I understood why it went viral. Here is that live:

The song is not only really catchy, but the part where the song "asks" what each member of AiScReam likes. Yep, they are really good and cute, especially Ruby's VA. I could understand that sentiment. I even researched the song lyrics. This is how it went for the 1st stanza:

教えて!もっとあなたの事
(Tell me more more more more. Tell me more more more more.)
聞かせて!もっとあなたの声
(Let me hear more more more. Let me hear more more more.)
こんなドキドキ もう抑え切れない
(All I need you. Oh! All I need you.)
友達は卒業 運命の私 見つけて欲しいの

I'm not gonna go further. The song is basically the girls from AiScReam screaming their love for you. Bruh. Get real, bro. They are not gonna be your girlfriend. Like ever. Stop dreaming. Stop it. Get some help.

P.S. I think I'm getting addicted to this song. I think I need "help". Anyway, I think that I might wanna talk about in a new blog post.

Murasaki Shion's Graduation

Murasaki Shion. Her journey ends here. This reminds me of my tweet when I talked about Aqua's graduation. I said that it is the end of an era. Here is the graduation live from Minato Aqua:

I wasn't joking when I said that. See? How many graduated this year (from Hololive)? Besides Murasaki Shion, there are a few others who graduate this year: Ceres Fauna (3 Jan), Sakamata Chloe (26 Jan; but only streaming), Nanashi Mumei (28 April) and Gawr Gura (1 May). Asmongold EVEN talk about Hololiver's graduation, namely Gawr Gura's graduation announcement.

He mentioned that the VTubers' contracts were "predatory" and restrictive. For me, I will not want to comment on that because I'm not that deep into the bandwagon. But I agree on one thing: The VTubing industry has a STRONG basis in Japanese idol culture. I DO NOT want to get into that. Oshi no Ko really show you that. And, THAT, THAT, THAT is just scratching the surface. The stalking and black box operation of that industry...I do not want to dive into that. For now.

Gaming: I got Lappland Alt!!!!

New event, new unit, but this time, it's an Arknights event called I Portatori dei Velluti. We have a limited unit, Lappland the Decadenza. I got her in less than 20 rolls! OH YEAH!!!!!!!! I love it. Thank God!

This Week...

My Thoughts before this week...

Ah, next week. It's not gonna be a good one, as I wished that this outstation work could be done by Wednesday, while the engineer from the machine manufacturer side planned to make it by the end of this week (Friday). Yes, this time, another outstation work...this time, it's a long one. It's been a while since that one last year with a different customer in Singapore. I don't even wanna talk about it. Anyway, may God bless my time at that customer's site so that we can completely resolve their problem once and for all.

The happenings in this week itself...

This week has been really tiring. First, it was a really long journey to the customer site, and of course, it will be the same after completing the job and returning home. It's almost 4 hours away from my home. That's a long journey!

The engineer from the machine manufacturer and I initially thought that we could complete the machine fixing by Wednesday. The machine's coupling rubber that I installed early this year is slightly damaged because of the metal coupling separation. We did solve that problem, but then the machine has an issue that is called double stroke, which means the homogeniser does not complete the stroke cycle properly.

We then solved that, and then we realised that it was leaking somehow. Wow, so many side quest. By the time we had solved it, that engineer and I had to stay over on Labour Day to complete the fix and get the customer to verify the machine functionality by running their actual production. One colleague who came with me from the same area went back before Labour Day, and the other colleague who is responsible for the region around this customer's area is not free to come on Labour Day. It sucks but that means I do not need to rush back on Friday. It was a decent one overall. THANK GOD!

Extra: More Figures!

Ah, this one is an extra from me. I have got a few figures coming this year. I have already gotten the Hina swimsuit figure and Roxy Migurdia wed swimsuit this month itself. The scary part is that none of them are cheap. I still wanna get them anyway. Still got the Roxy and Sylphy linguire figure leh and also that Spritale Mahiru figure. Will just briefly show you what I got this month.

Time to pack up!

Well, that's the end. Although, unfortunately, I couldn't get this post published before the week ends, at least I did it in the end. I hope that you enjoy reading and browsing this blog. Still trying to get this BokuYaba up as soon as possible. No guarantees, by the way, because of my outstation job that could last the entire week. BUT, hopefully, I can post a weekly post next week. May God bless you, and also, may God bless you! See ya!
