A Literal Garbage Anime: Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja nai!!!
Hi, people. How are you? Well, for me, I'm still finding for a job. Anyway, it's time for me to rant. Rant on what? This anime that I'm gonna talk about.
The anime that I gonna talk about is...Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja nai!!!!! And also for short, ImoImo. Why I wanna rant on this anime? Well, if you like sister-related anime and the animation is actually decent, it will actually just fine for you. BUT...as I have complained multiple time in separate blog posts that the animation is bad. You will see what I mean later on in the post.
WARNING:-
SPOILER ALERT!!! If you haven't watched it and plan to watch it without anyone being the spoiler, please DON'T CONTINUE READING!!!
P.S. If you want to be spoiled, well, go ahead and read it. You HAD been warned. Don't blame me for being spoiled if you INSIST on continuing to read this post.
The anime, Imo-Imo is an anime adaption from a Japanese light novel series of the same name that is written by Seiji Ebisu and illustrated by Gintarō. The LN is abbreviated as Imo-Imo and its full name can be literally translated as The One Whom I Love is My Little Sister But She's Not a Little Sister. Weird name. Japan!
Anyway, there is a manga adaption by Kou Narita launched in Monthly Dragon Age in December 2017. And also, the anime is aired from October 10 to December 19, 2018, and it's adapted by NAZ and Magia Doraglier. And well, the animation is a horror from episode 2 onwards. Episode 1 was fine and it did have occasional good animation after episode (but mostly terrible, especially with human faces).
The story starts with Nagami Yuu, an aspiring light novelist that has consistently losing light novel contests. He has a beautiful younger sister, Nagami Suzuka, a third-year middle school student who has excellent grades and is the student council president of her school.
Again, Yuu fails another light novel contest as usual but he later found out that his sister, Suzuka has won the contest with a novel about a little sister who dotes on her older brother. How did he know? Suzuka told him about it but because of their parents and the school regulation, she has to keep it a secret but only let her brother, Yuu knows about it. With that, Suzuka convinced Yuu debuts as a proxy light novel author for her, under the pen name Towano Chikai.
He attended the award ceremony for Suzuka and get to know the editor, Reika Shinozaki who had said: "I would sacrifice even my body for your work." WTF?! And also, the art for the light novel is drawn by none other than Ahegao W Peace Sensei who specialize in drawing erotic art, especially ahegao with both hands showing a peace sign. This anime is ALREADY weird from the start. You should know what is next. Oh yeah, both of them are female, by the way. Ahem! So, the weird adventure of Yuu getting a weird harem mix and moving towards becoming an actual solo novelist starts!
Well, I understand that anime is generally very weird and probably even cringeworthy. BUT, this is one is what I called TRASH ANIME. The animation is broken and rotten to the core from episode 2 onwards. It constantly breaks down when it comes to human facial expression and the story is centred around the sentiment of "incest is wincest". You should know that incest is a HUGE taboo in society and a definite NO-GO for everybody (probably). With that, it deserves the title of TRASH ANIME or maybe even GARBAGE ANIME.
The story is actually funny and at times, cringe-worthy but the terrible animation spoils everything. The opening music is...wait, we are not there yet! Damn! Anyway, it is a typical trash anime but so weirdly, I can't stop watching until the end. Oh God, WHY?! OK, you know what? It's time to move on, people.
THIS...is what I'm gonna rant about! |

Introduction
The anime is here!!! |
Weird name. Japan!
The light novel cover BTW. |
The manga cover...way too similar to the light novel cover!!! |
Plot
Nice together time! |
Isn't she cute? Well, that's if the animation quality stays this way throughout. |
The story starts with Nagami Yuu, an aspiring light novelist that has consistently losing light novel contests. He has a beautiful younger sister, Nagami Suzuka, a third-year middle school student who has excellent grades and is the student council president of her school.
Waiting for the results... |
The truth of her sister is coming to light... |
The weird editor... |
...and also the weird illustrator |
Broken art and animation start here... |
LOL! That pink light! |
The art is a little weird here... |
