Introduction

ANIME!!!!

This series, Tonikaku Kawaii (in Japanese: トニカクカワイイ), also known as Fly Me to the Moon, is originally a manga series written and illustrated by Hata Kenjiro, the author of Hayate no Gotoku and is married to Asano Masumi, a voice actor that voiced in the Hayate no Gotoku series. Hmm...silence for a moment...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY?! WHY YOU DO THIS, HATA KENJIRO?!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the manga cover...

AHEM! Sorry I got a bit...depressed...anyway, this series is also outside Japan as Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You. If you notice it, there is a phrase "Fly Me to the Moon" on the front cover of the manga. Anyway, the manga has serialised ever since February 2018 (and leaving a lot of single people VERY JEALOUS). As for the anime television series adaptation, it is animated by Seven Arcs, which was aired from October to December 2020 on Tokyo MX and other channels. Well...that's it. Let's move on.

Ah...Kenjiro...you just have to do this, isn't it?

Plot

Nasa-kun...

Hardworking Nasa is born!!!

The story starts with a teen genius Yuzaki Nasa who has a complex about his name because of people laughing at his name and starts to work toward his future to be...wait a moment, better than NASA. Oh. What?... Really? Oh. OK. Moving on.

Tsukasa is cute and I agree!

Oh no...not again! Nasa, run!!!

Anyway, this guy saw a girl named Tsukuyomi Tsukasa. And man, he fell in love at first sight. That myth...I dun believe it. I dun really believe in that. Seriously. Anyway, enough with that. With that, the MC decided to cross the road to approach her. He almost got isekai-ed by truck-kun and, instead of that, he was saved by that girl and not being isekai-ed. xD

That confession...

Tsukasa's answer...

Anyway, the lame joke aside, the MC was bleeding and have a broken leg...even with that, he wants to chase after the girl that he just met and afraid that he would never see her again. He confessed to her and she asks him to marry her in order to date her. Mmm...WHAT?!

That night of discussion...

Now, they are married...WHAT?!

After that confession, he fainted and that girl disappeared. He gave up studying and work part-time in order to find her but to no avail. She then appeared at his doorstep when he turns 18 with a marriage registration form. He filled up his part without much hesitation. With it being filled and being sent to the registration office in the middle of the night, they are officially husband and wife and live an interesting and hilarious daily life as a married couple, which leaves many single people jealous, VERY jealous.

Oh...Chitose...

Overall, their adventure is hilarious and interesting (and a good way to rub salt into your wound). I dun know why I can't stop watching even though I...depressed...AHEM! Anyway, it's basically the MC's marriage life! OK, let's MOVE ON!

A married couple and the night sky...WOOF!!!

Anime Rating

Story (Rating: 8/10)

The story is pretty straightforward and quite predictable. To be honest, there is nothing much in it for me other than jealousy. Why did you have to yourself, bro? depressed...AHEM! Anyway, the story's flow and pacing are pretty well-panned out and well-done. I did enjoy hilarious parts of the story even though the lovey-dovey part is...painful...depressed

That scene...LOL!

Art and Animation (Rating: 6/10)

The characters are...pretty normal. It's pretty normal by today's standard. Plus, it is pretty consistent and pretty well-done. For me, it's pretty average.

Nice breakfast.

Sound and Music (Rating: 8/10)

The opening song is pretty unique and has fast-paced rap parts. Pretty interesting. As for the ending song, it's pretty sweet and gentle. Ahhh...fits the anime pretty well, ridiculous, funny and sweet at the same time. AHEM! As for the soundtrack and background music, good stuff there. xD

LOL! That opening sequence! xD

Characters (Rating: 8/10)

The characters in this series are pretty good. Also, character development is mostly between the MC and his wife, not much for other characters. For me, I'm not really into any characters in this show BUT I like the hilarious interaction between the characters. Relatability?! depressed...dun even mention it. Hehe...hehe...depressed...Oh, by the way, I think Tsukasa is cute!!! Enjoy!

When Tsukasa blush...cute!!!

When Tsukasa smile...CUTE!!!

Enjoyment (Rating: 8/10)

...depressed...AHEM!!! Surprisingly, I actually enjoy it. Oh? You need me to say more? No, you are not getting it for this series because...AHHHHHHH...MY EYES!!!!!!!!!! WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME?! I AM SINGLE. DO YOU HAVE TO DO THIS ME?! Well...I chose to watch this regardless anyway. Ya...ahaha...haha...hehe...depressed...

LOL!

Overall Rating: 7.6 (7.5)/10
