Oh, you are here? How is life? After I published the previous post about Kuma Bear Season 2, I'm thinking of trying to complete and publish this post as soon as possible. Anyway, this time, it will be about Bofuri Season 2.

Time for more action!!!

Bofuri Season 2? Yes!!! Well, I did mention this series' season 1 before in my previous blog post, isn't it? I would like to continue this journey with the series season 2 by briefly going through the plot and voicing my opinion on it. Anyway, 废话不多说, let's go!!!

Anime season 2!!!

Since I introduced it in this post in May 2020, I will just briefly talk about season 2 and any new works beyond this season. So, we have the anime season 2 in 2023, from January to April. That's it. Nothing new. I really wish that there is news about a potential release of Bofuri season 3 but unfortunately, there is nothing on that like in the previous season. So...no season 3 for now.

Plot

Game start!!!

The story continues with Maple playing the VR MMORPG game with Sally. As usual, Maple always gets into weird situations and gets weird powers while continuing to add stats to her defence. So, here, I will just briefly talk about the weird stuff, weird skills and new event that she and her guild went through.

Battle against Level 3 boss

The anime starts with Maple and her guild, Maple Tree beating the bosses to enter the new levels, up to Level 7. Well, as usual, the team do what people do in games. They battle bosses, explore maps in each level, collect in-game items, and even acquire monsters as pets, just like Maple and Sally back in season 1. It has been really good fun to watch each of the known characters, especially the members of Maple Tree playing and enjoying the game.

As for in-game events, there was an event in which players fight the bosses in the tower game area to reach the highest level of the tower. Frankly, I only care about the duo, Maple and Sally in that event. After that, it was an event where each player can play solo or team up to gain as many points as possible by killing monsters or defeating other players in the game area. I've nothing much to talk about it. Lastly, the event that I like, another team play in a new game area where the teams would try to survive for three game days. That event is the most exhilarating one. The picture that I'm showing is one of the scenes.

Maple's tentacles

What skills that is been shown, you ask? Well, one of them is the tentacles that Maple can summon and use other skills with. Also, the other members of Maple's team can finally use skills with the new pet that they obtained via quest like Kuromu is able to equip his armour monster companion, Necro unto his armour. The new skills are interesting and maintain the series' freshness. Well, as usual, we, as viewers have much fun and enjoy ourselves. Anyway, time to move on as I've nothing more to say here.

Story (Rating: 10/10)

The story plot...it's as usual. It's nice, relaxing, chill and really fun to watch. The plot hasn't really deviated from the previous season, which is nice. xD

Art and Animation (Rating: 10/10)

Same old same...good animation. I like it! It's just great to see it. Nothing more I can say. Oh wait, there is one that is a bit odd tho. Check it out.

Sound and Music (Rating: 8/10)

Great opening and ending theme songs. Nice! BGM? I would give a thumbs-up!

Cute girls doing cute things in-game? YES to that!!! The development of character is usually centred around in-game skill and level growth, which is fine for a game-themed anime. The character interactions are just like the previous season, fantastic, fun, sometimes chill and of course, competitive. Great stuff.
