Hello, readers. I feel like revisiting the anime Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai. Just nostalgia. Well, it has been a LONG while since I'd talked about it on this blog. I had finished watching it several years ago. It's just...I'm sorry. I wasn't THAT consistent on doing reviews. PLUS, I'm STILL studying and hope to END this (NOT this post and certainly not this blog) ASAP so that I can enter into the working life ASAP.
Remember this?
Enough with the background story. Let's move on...Oh yeah, I will give a rating on this anime ASAP. Hope that I can do it by this year. Well, wow, there is quite a lot of 'ASAP' s, huh? Anyway, seriously, let's get started, shall we?
WARNING:-
SPOILER ALERT!!! If you haven't watched it and plan to watch it without anyone being the spoiler, please DON'T CONTINUE READING!!!
P.S. If you want to be spoiled, well, go ahead and read it. You have been warned.
The anime cover
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai (大図書館の羊飼い, lit. Large Library's Shepherd or The Shepherd of the Great Library) or in English, A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd, is adapted from a Japanese adult visual novel developed by August and released on January 25, 2013, for Windows PC. Well, it also has TWO fan discs, Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: Hōkago Shippo Days and Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai: Dreaming Sheep. They were released respectively in August 2013 and in March 2014. There is also a PS Vita version of the original game and fan discs, which features additional contents and got released in February 2015. AND, there had been five manga adaptations based on the game published by FOUR different publishers, namely ASCII Media Works, Ichijinsha, Kadokawa Shoten and Media Factory. There are also multiple comic anthologies and light novels are available, as well as several music albums. This anime adaptation is produced by Hoods Entertainment, which was premiered in Japan in October 2014. I'm sorry that the background story drags around a little bit but the background story is quite long. Anyway, let's move on.

This story is set in the vast and prestigious Shiomi Academy, in Japanese 汐美学園, our dear main character (MC), Kyōtarō Kakei is a student and the only member of the Library Club. Well, the other members of that club are shadow members. Being the sole member of the Library Club, he enjoys the fact that he can read peacefully by himself. A boring but peaceful life, isn't it?
The peaceful life...Kakei's usual life...
One day, he received a text from the 'shepherd', which reads his fate is going to change, Kyōtarō encounters a second-year girl named Tsugumi Shirasaki, whom he saves at the train station. Well, he accidentally gropes her boobs. Really? The cliche again? Anyway, later, Tsugumi enters the Library Club, she thanks him, and asks for his help to make Shiomi Academy a more enjoyable place. Like Kyōtarō, Tsugumi has also received a text from the shepherd. With the shepherd's guidance, more students end up joining their group.
OK? That's bad...
Oh yeah, if you noticed, it looks like a rephrase from my previous post. Not really, I started from scratch as I had watched the story. There was one thing significant happened when Kyōtarō was young. He acquires a bookmark, which is an entry ticket to the magic library. He must show kindness and bring happiness to everyone's hearts. Why did he get it? Because he aspired to read all the magic books in the world, which were kept in the magic library.
That is the scene where he gets the bookmark...
Well, it was a good story. Well, the ending? Logical but I'm not a fan of the ending. I've known too much harem stories to agree that the ending is excellent. I wished that there is an ending where he dates one of the girls. Apparently, NOT. Anyway, BTW, the story is great, though. I admit. This story explores the psychology of each character. Anyway, I recommend you to watch it if you want to know what the 'shepherd 'in the story is or you just like a drama with some comedy. Anyway, it is that time again. Let's go!!!
The ending...

Anyway, I would like to apologize for NOT posting anything last week. I was having a small test for Fluid Mechanics. It was not easy to digest a bunch of almost completely new concept. Well, BTW, here is the end of the post. Should I end it with the words, "THE END"? Never mind, anyway, thank you for coming here and God bless you. Hope that you will come to visit this blog again. Goodbye.
Hi, people! It's time to find the next brightest STAR...from anime. Anyway, it's been a while since I have talked about the Aikatsu series. I was really busy to get myself out of my study life, which I've stuck for a little longer (or maybe too long) than what I wanted. So, I need my focus less on my blog and the thing I like to do for quite a while. SORRY! Is that the same reason again?! Anyway, a cute expression from Ako. Anyway, without further ado, it's time to talk about the new promising STARS!!!! I mean the new Aikatsu stars, literally. I think I had given away the topic for this post. Well...まー、いいか~! WARNING:- SPOILER ALERT!!! If you haven't watched it and plan to watch it without anyone being the spoiler, please DON'T CONTINUE READING!!! P.S. If you want to be spoiled, well, go ahead and read it. You HAD been warned. Don't blame me for being spoiled if you INSIST on continuing to read this post.
Hi~! How are you? I have finally published that blog post on BokuYaba . It took me quite a while because I'm either too distracted by my games or too busy with work, or just too lazy to complete it after being tired from work. Oof indeed. But, anyway, I did it! That is what matters, ain't it? Love Live once again!!! Anyway, this time, I feel like talking about a song from the Love Live franchise. Well, it's not from the anime, but it went viral after the Love Live Asia Tour in Yokohama on February 1 & 2, 2025. To be honest, I only noticed around last month when a friend of mine kept having the Discord activity of him listening to the song. I will talk about the details a bit later. Without further ado, let's go! Disclaimer:- Although the song that I'm talking about is a song is not from Love Live anime, there will probably be certain elements of the Love Live anime because of the nature of the Love Live Project being a 2.5D multimedia project. So, there mi...
Welcome back, everyone! How is life, eh? For me, it has been a steady life since my blog post about the opening theme song of BokuYaba season 2, 「僕は…」 . I will try to publish more content with the help of ChatGPT , speeding up the editorial process and structuring my blog posts in a way that suits my requests. Anyway, that song is bursting with sweetness and the awkward thrill of young love, and captures those small, clumsy emotions we all feel when love first starts to bloom. It was a good one, I tell ya. Shana and Yuji are fighting together...Remember this? But today, we’re moving from soft and passionate pinks to blazing reds — from innocence to intensity. What am I gonna talk about, you ask? Well, it is the 1st opening theme song of Shakugan no Shana season 2, JOINT by Kawada Mami . Yes, it’s not a soft song — it’s a flame, a fiery and fiercely burning one. BUT, just like 「僕は…」 , it is more than just fiery passion. It is much deeper tha...
Good day, everybody. How is life? It had been a long time since I found the time and motivation to write it. I was too caught up with gaming and working. No guarantee that I won't have a long gap in between blog posts, just like the time between the post on AiScream and the post on BokuYaba anime . Regarding that AiScream post, it was a fun dive into how a light-hearted song using the "ice-cream" pun became a viral hit and captured the hearts of fans, even though I had a hard time completing it due to my day job's workload and trying too hard to integrate multiple AI chat suggestions. As for that Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu (BokuYaba) post back in May, it was once my really huge obsession. Remember this moment? Oops, it looks like that first paragraph might be a bit too long. Umm....whatever. It's fine, I guess. Anyway, this time, I will continue from that BokuYaba post that I published back in May to talk about a song that still gives me an emotional vibe: B...

OK, time to get back into the topic that I wanna talk about. I..LOVE...you! Time for cheerleading!!!! Yes, I'm gonna talk about Anima Yell! Cute girls doing cute things anime is GOOD!!!!! SO GOOD!!!!! Anyway, without further ado, it's time for some storytelling and to start to talk about this anime!
