MORE AIKATSU and MORE MUSIC!!! Anime Review for Aikatsu Stars Movie and Aikatsu Magical Card Short Film are OUT NOW!!!
Hi, readers! It has been quite a while since I've written ANY post on this blog. There is currently no plans to write reviews for the anime series, Aikatsu Stars. Why? It's BECAUSE the anime series has not yet ended. I had planned to review it after it ends, which will maybe end by next year or the year after.
BUT...this doesn't mean that I not gonna review the Aikatsu Stars Movie and Aikatsu: Aikatsu Magical Card TOGETHER!!! Why I review both of them together. Well, because they were launched in conjunction with each other as ONE. Actually, I had been working on this post for quite some time. Sorry that it took me so long to finish this post. I have my studies to do and little tests to study for. It's important, you know? Anyway, let's get started!

Well....we will start with Aikatsu Stars! The Movie, FIRST.
It was first announced on February 22, 2016, along with the new franchise's release, which is Aikatsu Stars first episode. The movie was premiered in theatres across Japan on August 13, 2016. The DVD and Blu-ray were released on February 2, 2017, in Japan. OK, not much background story for this one. BUT if you want a bit of the background story on this series (Aikatsu Stars series), you can read it from HERE.
This story starts with the starting of the Aikatsu Island Festival, where the fans can enjoy themselves on the island with its scenery and performance by the idols from the Four Star Academy. BTW, this story is held somewhere in between Season 1 Episode 18 and Episode 30. I don't exactly know where. Oh yeah, quite a spoiler, right? Anyway, those of you who haven't watch it, you are here for the spoiler, ain't it?
Anyway, during their time in Aikatsu Island, Laura argued with Yume after she decided to work together with Mahiru. Laura was troubled by the principal's revelation of a secret project as the principal wanted her to form a duo with Mahiru in the contest. BTW, the argument between Laura and Yume rings throughout the WHOLE story. You can see it if you had watched it. WELL, there is a young, CUTE girl that appears in the story. HERE IT IS!!! Just above the next paragraph.
Because of this randomly appeared cute girl whose name is Maori, Yume is able to reconcile with Laura. How? Actually, indirectly. Watch the movie. It is really good. There is a good plot twist in this movie...the troubles and worries that Yume and her gang had to go through...Ako and Koharu's failed attempt to get the legendary dress but instead got a prop. LOL! Anyway, I would probably give it a 8 out of 10 for the story.
Anyway, with Aikatsu Star movie done....we will proceed on with Aikatsu! The Targeted Magical Aikatsu! Card short film.
I would say that this short film is kinda like the last string to 'save' the previous Aikatsu series or more like its 'last breath' before it will be retired completely. At least, that's what it felt to me. The whole story is kinda messy. Akari and her gang are trying to get the magical card BUT ends ran into all sorts of drama set and different settings on the way. Quite crazy.
Well, the story specifically tells us that this WHOLE running around different drama sets is NOT planned by Ichigo. BUT...as Ichigo, she decided to go with this madness and puts it into a film. To be honest, I won't give a very good rating on this story. Compared to its previous film and merchandise, this film is actually the worst in terms of storyline although I won't give it a SUPER low rating on this. Well, why? Because...I'm an Aikatsu fan. Yes, I'm biased. Haha!!
