taking another look on Dog Days. Anyway, this is the anime review for the anime Knight's and Magic!!! YES!!!! Knights and magic! Why not? Well, that's gonna be my short introduction over here.

済まない、先はすぐに…Oops, sorry, let's get back to our topic here. This anime, Knight's and Magic (and it's written in Japanese as ナイツ＆マジック, like seriously), is adapted from a Japanese light novel series written by Hisago Amazake-no and illustrated by Kurogin. It originates from a web novel, which means it was a web novel before being picked up for print publication by Shufunotomo. Anyway, there is also a manga by Takuji Katō, which is published by Square Enix.

Plot

Well, the story with a guy SUPER programmer who is also an Otaku who absolutely LOVES robots and mechas. The guy name is Tsubasa Kurata. He later died from a car accident, in which I looked at that part and like...seriously...I have A LOT of questions on that part. You'll understand what I mean when you watch it.

Anyway, after that, Tsubasa reincarnates into the world in which medieval knights uses giant robots called Silhouette Knights to fight against demon beasts, magical ravenous animals that devour everything in sight. AS for who does Tsubasa reincarnates as...Well, he reincarnates as a boy whose name is Ernesti Echevalliaa boy born into a noble family. When he saw the Silhouette Knights in action to saves his mother and grandfather, he inspired by Tsubasa's previous Otaku memories into becoming a knight runner and then creating his own Silhouette Knight.

Before Ernesti decided to create his own Silhouette Knight, he met with two people who are siblings when Ernesti saves one of them who was falling off the roof. They are Akidd Alter ( who is a boy) and Adeltroot Alter (who is a girl). Adi (or Adeltroot) instantly like Ernesti because he looks REALLY cute.

Our MC, Ernesti teaches them magic and starts his journey to become a knight runner, in which later he found the inspiration to make him VERY OWN Silhouette Knight. As his past life continues to inspire him, he has created new inventions like a gun blade-like magic rod that combines a sword and magic rod into one weapon. One more thing, he was able to take over Dietrich's Silhouette Knight and alter his control to suit himself and give the mecha more flexibility.

Well, there is so much more. Like Ernesti making his own mech and many other types of mechs and ALSO conducting a war against a nation which went rogue in conquest. Oh yeah, there is another person or genius (should I say?) in the world Ernesti is in. He also made numerous tech innovation that helped that rogue nation to win the starting battle against a federation and the Kingdom of Kuscherpercha. Wow...so much action and story. I won't write it here as this post will be too long if I write it all here. So now, let's GO!!!

Anime Rating
Story (Rating: 10/10)
Mecha and magic? Well, not actually new. The MC dies and reincarnates into another world...not new. Combine the both of them together...Well, THAT is new...Wait, I think that there is such a thing out there, right? Anyway, the story is very interesting to follow and the little twist in the story really helps the story to become more interesting.

Art and Animation (Rating: 9/10)
The animation is quite average BUT hey, I love this show and I love fighting scenes. AND wait...there's also mech battle scene?! Let me join in! Well, I've not watch Gundam yet but maybe I would watch it one day. Anyway, a 9 out of 10.

Sound and Music (Rating: 6/10)
The opening theme song is amazing and I absolutely love it! As for the ending theme song, not really. Good but not of my taste. Well, as for the BGM, I think it is well done and well placed in the right situation.

Characters (Rating: 10/10)
Character-wise? This anime has a good of characters that make the plot flows nicely. As for character development, for Ernesti, not so much but for other characters like Edgar, Archid, Eleonara and especially Dietrich though) has quite a lot development. I love the characters also so...a FULL MARK!

Enjoyment (Rating: 10/10)
I really enjoyed it...really. I hope to see a season 2 of it. Although people might not like it, as the plot of the main character goes into another world becomes a little too overused recently, but I don't mind so...a FULL mark again!
