Hello, people. Have you read my previous post on another anisong? Enjoyed it? Haven't read it? I think you should go and read it. Ahem! Let's not waste any more time. So, now, once again, it's time for the backstory of this post on another anime song. Yes, this is another one with a backstory. OK, without further ado, let's go!

Ever since my last post about a certain anime, I feel that the reason why I haven't been posting much it's because of the taxing nature of writing a post about anime. Also, my current life is not exactly in the best of times. Anyway, this time, my inspiration for this post is the freshly baked policy of the Tourism Bubbles from the Malaysian government. I was like, "Speaking of bubbles, it reminds me of this song." The song, Poppin' Bubbles plays in the background...ahem! Anyway, it's time for another Aikatsu song, Poppin' Bubbles!!!!!!!!!! It's one of my favourite songs. So, let's GOOOO!!!!!

This song, Poppin' Bubbles...it felt so...tsundere-ish. I guess that's what they think when they are in love with that someone. xD...AHEM! Back to the topic! 

What a beauty...

Well, this song debuted in the 2015 Series - 3rd collection and during the third season 3 of Aikatsu! It was when my dear Hinaki-chan was looking for a partner to form a pair. That unit is called Passionate Jalapeño. (I found out that I was wrong in terms of when the song was first sung later on). There are two versions of it. Anyway, any more details are for you to do your research, not for me to spoon-feed you. OK, time to go! Let's go!

Time for a special appeal!

This song sounds pretty lively and cute. Oh man, this is one of the songs that I like in Aikatsu. I would like to translate the "Po-Pop Poppin’ Bubbles" part into Chinese but I can't find the right way to translate it as it will make the Japanese part look weird. So, I decided against translating it to Chinese and leaving it as it is. If you are curious, I can tell you that I would translate it as “破开的泡沫”. Yeah, around something like that. It could be something a little more different if I wanna fit them into the lyrics.

I like this moment. Passionate Jalapeno formed!

Anyway, this song is really interesting because it doesn't really have many references to Hinaki and Juri forming a unit together. That's what I think. Wait...they sang this song before they even formed a unit together. AHHH! Silly me. Of course, it does not have any relation to that. It's probably because they sang it together before that unit formation. AHEM! Back to the topic.

I like the outfit there. xD

This song is first sung by Hinaki and Juri during Valentine's Day in the anime. Sorry, my mistake! Back to the topic. Ah! I remembered the whole mountain loads of chocolates, loads of cute girls sending chocolates...those times...AHEM! Anyway, it was an episode of people sending their 友チョコ (read as "tomochoco", which means friendship chocolate) and expressing their heartfelt feelings to the ones that they care about. This song sings about expressing their love for that special someone. AHHHH!!! LOVE IS IN THE AIR!!!! AHEM! Got a bit too excited.

The chef's fans?! Oh, he was a former idol? Ok...

Oh? Romance in this episode? Nah, nope. Love is not necessarily the kind of love relationship that you see in romance shows. You see, in this episode, there are some fans of the chef's fans when he was an idol who went to the academy to send their chocolate to express their feelings and concern for him. Also, so many people send their chocolate to each other in the academy as a sign of friendship. Akari's chocolate is probably also a sign of admiration (not only friendship) for the one she looks up to, Hoshimiya Ichigo. Anyway, with that, I could say that the song is a good listen and also fitting to the theme of the episode it was first in (episode 120).

Oh? You are asking about the one when Juri and Hinaki form a duo called Passionate Jalapeno? Well, it's probably because they've sung it together before and are pretty comfortable performing that song on the stage. Well, I say that it's because, throughout that episode (episode 132), Juri is finding a partner to form a duo because she has been inspired by the success and the surge of popularity of Sumire and Rin's duo, Dancing Diva.
