Beauty in the midst of savageness and awkwardness...
Hi, people. Remembered the publishing streak that I had not that long ago?
Enjoyed it? If you enjoyed it, I'm glad you did. It's time for another round
of anime songs after
talking about the anime, AraOto previously. Well, I did mention in this blog post that I will make this blog post about
its opening theme song. Anyway, moving on...
This couple...remember them? |
I'm a bit in a dry season in terms of watching anime so I'm gonna focus on the games that I'm playing and blogging. Well, it's not that there is no anime to watch but it's just that I can't bring myself to watch it. I just don't have the mood for it. Plus, I did just had an accident not too long ago. Well, I'm fine but the car's condition is not gonna help me in getting myself in any mood to watch anime, isn't it? Anyway, here, I'm gonna write about the opening song for AraOto, 乙女どもよ。
WARNING:-
Although this post is just me talking about a certain anime song, there might
be SPOILERS from the anime. If you are planning to watch the anime without any
spoilers, you can either continue to read or move on.
P.S. If you want to be spoiled, well, go ahead and read it, you
HAVE been warned. Don't blame me for being spoiled if you insist on continuing
to read this post.
Introduction
The song is composed and has its lyrics by HoneyWorks. You can see that the song is sung by CHiCO but the artist name is usually written as CHiCO with HoneyWorks. Why is that the case? It's because it is a collab between HoneyWorks and CHiCO from May 2014 until now. Any more information about them can be found using a simple search. For me, I just use Wikipedia for a simple lookup. Any further info...it's better you search it up yourself online. Below is the song on YouTube and now, it's time for me to move on.

I love this part of the opening sequence... |
Ah...this is a great song. Anyway, back to the song. From how I see it, the song is about someone who is reluctant to get into romance. It describes life as a book...Well, fits the theme of the show. The girls are reading books as a literature club although they were reading out sex scenes during club activities. What? No, I'm not gonna censor it. It is what it is. This blog is not here to tell you stories in children's storybooks and give you pictures for you to colour. Geez...
What a weird way to start the confession... |
Anyway, Rika does embody the song where it sings "潔癖だった知りたくなかった" as she wants to be squeaky clean. She thought that romantic relationships were dirty and were equivalent to sex. During the times when she interacted with Shun, she slowly realised that they were not exactly the same and slowly understood her feelings towards him (and also Shun's feelings towards her). So, she decided to confess her love to Shun on that faithful night near the bonfire. As for the rest...if you watch the anime, you will know what happened next.
This couple reminds me of another couple... |
The song also describes what happened to the girls from the literature club quite accurately. They had to struggle, fight and search for the answer that they yearned for since the moment when Niina said the word "sex". For Niina, although her love for Izumi is not reciprocated, she at least finally understands it. Momoko found out that she is in love with Niina. Kazusa found out she was in love with Izumi and got to interact with him as before but this time, in love. Hitoha...just like every person (almost) in love with the teacher, she never got her love but deep down learned to give blessing to her teacher's romance despite the pain.
This is bittersweet... |
Conclusion
Oh, you are here? It has been a really good writing session so far. The blog post publishing spree can be quite hard on me but it has so far been pretty enjoyable. The lack of blog posts in recent times literally cut off my previous blog post streak. Also, something really huge happened and it's not good. I really need God's blessing and covering to get my life back to the good old days. Ok, I gotta go so I hope that you enjoy reading and browsing this blog. Goodbye, and God bless you!
