Singing the song for Rudy, the kid traveler...
Hi, people. I just successfully published a much more successful blog post in the form of Mushoku Tensei a few days ago. Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better now, in terms of writing new blog posts. Still, I won't force myself to do it if I dun wanna do it.
Do you remember her, my favourite character, Roxy? |
Back to topic. With the Mushoku Tensei post being published on my blog and with my will to do more blog post publishing this month, it's time to touch one of the two favourite songs, Tabibito no Uta (or in English, The Adventurer's Song). LET'S GO!!!!
WARNING:-
Although this post is just me talking about a certain anime song, there might be SPOILERS from the anime. If you are planning to watch the anime without any spoilers, you can either continue to read or move on.
P.S. If you want to be spoiled, well, go ahead and read it, you HAVE been warned. Don't blame me for being spoiled if you insist on continuing to read this post.
Introduction
Tabibito no Uta (in Japanese, 旅人の唄), also can be translated as The Traveller's Song is the first opening theme of the Mushoku Tensei anime performed by Yuiko Ouhara. It was released as a digital single on the anime's official premiere day on January 10, 2021. Initially, it was used as the end-credits theme song for Episode 1 and then the opening theme song from Episode 3 to Episode 5. There is even a special version of it with the name Tabibito no Uta ~Kikyo~ (in Japanese, 旅人の唄 ~帰郷~), also can be translated as The Traveller's Song ~Homecoming~ as Episode 22's opening theme song.
Oh, by the way, this is when the opening song is played. |
Well, I had mentioned in the blog post where I talk about Mushoku Tensei that the opening theme song in this anime does not have a special video-animation sequence for the credits as it is integrated into real-time scenes of the story, and varies for every episode. This is an interesting phenomenon that is only unique to this anime (as I know it). There is nothing like it, I believe. Anyhow, I think that this trend will continue for the next few seasons of Mushoku Tensei. OK, next!
Snowy time! Oh, the opening song was also played here. |

The broken Rudy... |
...reminds me of his old broken life. |
What should say about this song other than it's just plainly...beautiful. There is a special more slow-paced version of it in the adventure back to hometown arc. Anyway, this song describes the main character, Rudeus so nicely. From reincarnated as a baby from our world to going on an adventure back to his hometown after being mysteriously teleported to the Demon continent with Eris, it is a journey to his redemption from being a useless person and a NEET to a person who can overcome through his troubles and get Eris safely back to their home town. I only wanna say may this new journey that he is taking after season 1 of Mushoku Tensei...good luck. May this journey can slowly heal his past wounds and strengthen him as a person. That's all I can say for now. Let's move on.

He has to move on...alone... |
Conclusion
Well, that's the end. This song is so beautiful. For me, it outshines the rest of the theme songs except the first ending song (which is I think that it's on the same level as this song). Yeah, for me, it's been quite a ride watching this anime. It's been great writing up posts related to Mushoku Tensei. Anyway, the next post will be about the first ending song, Only. OK, time to end this. I hope that you enjoy reading and browsing this blog. Goodbye, and God bless you!
More screenshots on Roxy! Anyway, this is so sweet. |
