Studying Love in the Love Lab! Literally.

Hi, people. Well, it was a little dry season where I'm out of ideas to expand and complete the drafts that I have written a while ago. Anyway, it has been a while after Christmas. I decided against talking about Oregairu and instead of talking about another anime.

The Love Lab girls!

You have guessed it? Love Lab! Or maybe some might wanna pronounce Renai Lab. Anyway, let's not waste time and start the show!!!! Oh yeah, BTW, no New Year blog post this year (2019) and will have a New Year AniList post instead. Why? Will tell you. Let's move on.

WARNING:-

SPOILER ALERT!!! If you haven't watched it and plan to watch it without anyone being the spoiler, please DON'T CONTINUE READING!!!

P.S. If you want to be spoiled, well, go ahead and read it. You HAD been warned. Don't blame me for being spoiled if you INSIST on continuing to read this post.

Introduction

It's the anime, people!

Well, there is nothing much to say about Love Lab. The original work of Love Lab is actually a Japanese four-panel manga series that was written and illustrated by Ruri Miyahara. As for the anime, it is by Dogakobo aired in Japan between July and September 2013. So, if you are anticipating the second season of it, I dun think it will ever happen since it was last aired around 5 years ago and no news about it.

The manga...volume 1

Plot

Maki Natsuo...the princess of the school

Kurahashi Riko...the Wild One

The story starts with...of course, the main character, Kurahashi Riko and little drama before the start before the show. One day, Riko encounters the student president, Natsuo Maki who is admired by her fellow student for her calm and polite demeanour. Coincidently, Riko is also admired by her fellow student but it is because she has a very forward and boyish personality.

That scene that changes Riko's life.

Everything looks fine until...One day, Riko accidentally walks into Maki when she is kissing a body pillow with a picture of a guy for practice. What...on Earth...? Anyway, from that moment onwards, Riko was dragged into the student council body to keep her secret and joins her in practising romance activities such as holding hands etc. LMAO! Riko's new hilarious life begins as she found out that Maki is not as collected as everyone thinks and lacks common sense or perception.

Maki broke...

There is nothing much to talk about anime (especially the plot) since it is adapted from the four-panel manga (which is usually comedy and IT IS a comedy, in this case). My advice is for you to watch it if you are here for spoilers. The story is mostly surrounding the love study thing. For me, it was a fun watch. LOL! Oh yeah, there is also the extra stories involving the side characters. Anyway, let's move on.

Oh...Suzu...

Anime Rating

Story (Rating: 8/10)

The story is mostly focused on the 'love study' that is conducted 'in secret' in the student council room. There is nothing much in terms of story progression. It is neither very moe nor very having a very good joke but mostly typical of this kind of anime. Well, I enjoyed it to be honest but not as much as GochuUsa or KinMoza.

Oh...

Art and Animation (Rating: 6/10)

The arts and animation are decent. The characters are quite portrayed and well-drawn. There is nothing much except that there are some chibi scenes and funny scenes in which the characters become smaller in size. It's quite common in anime. Wait, why am I talking about this?

Harisen in action! Oh yeah, you remember this?

Oh yeah, BTW, the pic! (The same thing though)

Sound and Music (Rating: 6/10)

The OP song is nice but as usual, I usually dun really like ending song...just me being bias and me hardly listening to ending theme song. Oh yeah, BTW, the BGM is decent! Anyway, the ending song is decent but still, not my cup of tea.

The OP part...

Characters (Rating: 7/10)

Like most comedy, the characters usually don't have much character change and usually keeps the dynamic despite some character growth. So, there is not much of character development other than Riko's confession and the formation of the love lab team. LOL! Anyway, the characters are quite funny together even though I dun really the characters.

That scene...LOL!!!

Enjoyment (Rating: 8/10)

Comedy? Good stuff, man. Good stuff. I really enjoyed it. The funny scene is quite funny...To be honest, I'm not even sure about whether I should call it a "cute girls doing cute things" anime. I dun think so though.

That meeting...

Overall Rating: 7 (6.75)/10

Almost gonna laugh...

Riko...I know that feeling...the complicated feeling, I mean.

Eno...your brother is a goner already...

Uh oh...

Suzu as a child is cute...

Oh, that trope again...

Tehe!

Harisen 2.0!!!!

A special meeting...
