Hello readers, how is life? I know it's hard for so many people. I'm also having it hard. My job is getting busy in recent times, making it impossible to make a post every week. I really do hope that there is another season but I'm holding my breath on this.

This time, after Love Live Nijigasaki season 2, Slow Loop and Yama no Susume season 4, I would like to talk about one of the insert songs, Butterfly, which was sung by Konoe Kanata (voiced by Kitou Akari) in the anime. Anyway, let's not waste any more time and get onto it!

Introduction
The song, Butterfly is Kanata Konoe's song for the single that was released on December 16, 2020. It is also an insert song in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Season 1 Episode 7. The song is written by Ayaka Miyake and is composed and arranged by em.me.

This song is a song of encouragement from Kanata to her Haruka who is also a school idol in another school, Shinonome Institute to continue her school idol activities and a call to work together to balance life and school idol activities. Why do they go to separate schools? I dunno why but this is the setting that the directors decided to go with.

Anyway, it started off with Haruka being concerned with her older sister Kanata overworking herself. She then goes to check out Nijigasaki's School Idol Club and learns that Kanata has been more sleepy lately, prompting her to say that she'll quit being a school idol to help out Kanata more with the housework. This ordeal has created a rift between the both of them as Kanata tries to persuade her not to quit, causing Haruka to storm out of the clubroom.

To cut the long story short, Kanata decided to perform this song before her sister Haruka's supposedly final stage performance after talking with the other club members. She told them that she wanted to stay in the club while also protecting her sister's happiness. With that performance, Kanata suggests that they support each other from now on both at home and as school idols, resulting in the two sisters reconciling with each other. Sweet!

The song suited very well with the story and incident that Kanata and Haruka went through, isn't it? The song shows the sisterly love that Kanata have for her sister Haruka and the wish to support each other instead of the previous arrangement where Kanata is the only one supporting Haruka. What a sweet way to end the feud...AHEM! Let's move on.
