The anime

Plot

Amane gave her his umbrella

The story starts with a certain rainy day when Fujimiya Amane walks back home with his umbrella. He saw the most beautiful girl in school who is also nicknamed "The Angel", Shiina Mahiru. She was in distress on that day and he proceeds to lend her his umbrella. With his laziness and his walking home in the rain, he caught a cold and almost collapses when he reached his doorstep.

Mahiru waiting to give him back his umbrella

Taking care of the sick Amane...

Mahiru was waiting for him near his house to return the umbrella to him. With him almost collapsing near his house, she decided to nurse him back to health. From then on, they started to have more association with each other although Amane hope that they dun have any beyond that moment when he fell sick. It started with his poor diet habits at home and then the cleaning up of his messy house.

Giving leftover food...

Cleaning up the house...

His poor diet habit is fixed with Mahiru giving him leftover food and then because of Amane's wishful thinking, started to have Mahiru come to cook for him at his house. From then on, their weird, relaxing and at times, funny moments and interactions started. They even went out together a few times.

Mahiru's mother came...

Amane wants to stay with her to share her pain

Oh, sweet Mahiru...that's what we wanna see, isn't it?

The whole story is pretty chill, cute and heartwarming until an incident related to Mahiru and her mother. She then spills out all her pain and agony about her family situation and her lack of attention from her parents. The parents are really harsh on her just because they dun wanna be together in the first place and are only being together because of family reasons. It's understandable though but it is really bad, back to the story.

The moment when Amane pour out his heart

From then on, their relationship turns into something that is beyond just friends. Amane even talked with Mahiru like she talked to Amane regarding her family situation. It is about the reason he left his parent's house to live on his own. It was because he made friends with a group of people who only treat him as someone that they can use, making him distrustful of people after he found out. Because of that, he decided to go to another town away from his parents to start a new life without meeting those people.

Dang it! She so cute there!!!

Anyway, there were so many cute things and cute interactions between each other...I like it. The relationship between each other...well, it's very clear that they are both in love with each other. With the school sports festival, Mahiru uses the opportunity of the game that she and Amane were participating in to declare that he is the most precious to her, indirectly confessing to Amane in public. That got him a lot of flak from the fanboys of Mahiru, which Mahiru flawlessly destroyed their disagreement with Mahiru choosing Amane. That evening after the sports festival, Amane decided to confess his feelings to her and thus, became a couple.

The unfriendly Mahiru fanboys incoming...

Grats!

AHEM! Well, that's where the anime ends. There is more story after that but I might collapse and go nuts if I go on and talk about them as a couple beyond the anime adaptation. Yeah...so, please, let's move on, shall we? It's getting more and more unbearable.

Couples...AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Anime Rating

Story (Rating: 10/10)

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Ahem! Anyway...back to the topic. Putting aside the fact that this anime is sweet poison toxic to me, the story plot is generally slow, sweet and heartwarming. The anime is also what people called the anime that gives you diabetes. The sweet, cute and comfy interactions between the main characters are a pleasure to watch.

...oh no. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Art and Animation (Rating: 10/10)

Pretty animation placed alongside characters that look good...Good combination. Great choice. Enjoy yourselves until you realise you just complete the anime. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Beautiful sakura blossoming time!!!

Sound and Music (Rating: 9/10)

The great opening theme song and beautiful ending songs are a great combination and very suitable for the anime. The ending theme songs are all cover versions, by the way. Just saying.

The opening sequence. CUTE!!!!!!!

Characters (Rating: 10/10)

Related to the development of the characters, the interactions between different characters, the character's background, the uniqueness of the character, the likeability of the characters, the relatability of the characters to the audience, etc.

Mahiru pouting...cute!!!

Enjoyment (Rating: 9/10)

I generally enjoyed it a lot to the point that I binge-watched it for two days and finish it but my heart rejects the idea of giving it a full mark, just because this anime is sweet poison toxic to me.

Cute. But, I think I ded inside because I got no girlfriend like her.

Overall Rating: 9.6 (9.75)/10

Conclusion

Finally. Finally, I got a chance to let this out. The smashing of the table whenever I see the cute scenes from the anime. It also got me thinking, "WHY NOT ME?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Ahem! ごめん、失礼いたしました。Anyway, it is really sweet if I could put aside the clear sign of my jealousy. Glad that they are together but still...painful for me to see. Well, that's the end. Time to end this. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy reading and browsing this blog. Goodbye, and God bless you!

My wife!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem! It's just Mahiru.
