Hi, people. How is life? For me, it has been a busy month. I wanted to do a blog post for Tensura season 2 but it's too long and probably will take too much time to complete. So, I decided to put this plan after the completion of this blog post. I really want to publish this post after a grinding session of translating the anime song, Illumination previously but loli Shigure Ui loli song MV is out, so...I wrote about the loli song. Ya...Anyway!!!
Oh no...can we not have colour codes in a couple's conversation, please?
Time to talk about the second season of Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita!!!!! I'm glad to talk about something lighter after the translation of two songs that I mentioned just now. Back when I just finished the blog post on Illumination, I thought of writing about the Rikei series' second season for a change but well, loli Shigure Ui came and things went a bit off track. Anyway, it's back on track right now. LET'S GO!!!!!
WARNING:-
SPOILER ALERT! This post is very likely to contain spoilers for this anime. So...if you are planning to watch the anime without any spoilers, you can either continue to read this post or move on and watch the anime.
P.S. If you want to be spoiled, well, go ahead and read it. You HAD been warned. Don't blame me for being spoiled if you INSIST on continuing to read this post.
Introduction
The anime season 2
Since I briefly introduced the anime back in 2020, I will just briefly introduce the second season. It was aired from April to June 2022 and was announced not long after the end of the previous season. Dang, the English translation, "Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It" is still terrible. Oh, by the way, the second season has an equation to signify a heart shape, which is r = 1 - sin θ. Wow...Anyway, let's move on, shall we?
The anime...back in season 1
Plot
The two of them are in a...interesting mood.
This story, as usual, still revolves around two young and extremely brilliant researchers at Saitama University, Yukimura Shinya and Himuro Ayame but a little extra. There is more character development of the other team members, Ibarada Ena, Inukai Kōsuke and Inukai Kōsuke. Yes, the running gag of Ayame and Shinya strongly believe in math as the most powerful instrument at human's disposal to understand all things, like literally, EVERYTHING is still there, despite the new dynamics entering into the scene. We briefly go through the various things that are different this time around.
O.O...Chris and Suiu
The first thing is that new characters like Fujiwara Suiu and Chris Florette come into the mix to help the couple both of them to get their answer on romance by getting them to help to test for hormones like Oxytocin. Hilarious and weird interactions happened between them and amongst themselves. Weird stuff.
Ibarada down! She is down!
Kosuke...LMAO!
Also, interestingly, as lazy as she looks, Ibarada did produce research confirming that exercise can improve memory. She also torments Kosuke by using the Fermi Problem and the work of Frank Drake to calculate that less than two women in the whole of Japan would be his ideal girlfriend, and his chance of meeting either of them in his lifetime is 0.02%. Kosuke has the life-altering realisation that his description of his ideal girlfriend matches Ibarada perfectly. Ibarada realises the lab with her friends is the only light place in her dark life and decides she will get her doctorate.
Haru the Tapioca fan girl
Tutoring time!
Besides that, there is an interesting arc where Shinya decides to be a tutor of the daughter of one of his university professors, Kagurano Haru. When he taught her, he found her to be quite bright. He even confronted her father who always belittles her and believes she is stupid, leaving him speechless. From there, her father has a slight change in heart.
Not a good past...
Kanade, oh, Kanade...
Time for a date...
Oh no...
Another thing is that Kanade's obsession with trying to be normal is eating her up in the story, getting her into trouble when she dates a guy named Naoya Shikijou who is a guy that seemed normal at first. This guy was one of the participants from the Okinawa training camp and fell in love with Kanade at first sight. Well, it turns out that he is a psychopath and kidnaps her when she doesn't accept him as her boyfriend in the end. Holy shit, what the fuck?! It ended up with him and his accomplices being caught and Kanade falling in love with him.
I think we all have the dead fish eyes at the end, like Shinya here...
Well, because we got to know that Kanade is in love with Yukimura, that is where the scene shown above comes in. I think Yukimura just died inside there. I think we all did too. LMAO! Anyway, time to move on.
Move on please...
Anime Rating
Story (Rating: 10/10)
The anime story is pretty much the same with the focus being less on the main couple/shipping. As for the flow and pacing of the story, just like the previous season, they are pretty well done. The story is also pretty easy to understand although there are some very scientific and technical words being thrown around.
Wait what?!
Art and Animation (Rating: 10/10)
Just like the previous season, the characters are well-drawn and the drawings are consistent throughout the series. The series is well-made in terms of animation and art. Yeah, nothing more I could say.
That scene...LMAO!!!
The explanatory bear is done...I think
Sound and Music (Rating: 8/10)
Interesting theme songs (both OP and ED), just like in the previous season. Unfortunately, they are not really my cup of tea. BGM? Same as the previous season, it's pretty good.
Opening song...
Characters (Rating: 10/10)
The development of characters? Compared to the previous season, this time, the main couple, Himuro Ayame and Yukimura Shinya. Although the main couple have confirmed their relationship, they still continue their research. Well, interesting one. For the character development, other than the main couple, I think that it has to be the "most normal" in the research group, Kanade Kotonoha. The change of Kanade is definitely one of the spotlights in the anime. Interactions? Well, as usual, just like the previous season, hilarious as fuck.
That meeting that changed them
Kanade getting kidnapped
Enjoyment (Rating: 10/10)
Hilarious. Fun. What more could I say? Of course, I liked it. What else? Let's just end this, shall we?
LMAO! Dun jump down!
Overall Rating: 9.6 (9.5)/10
Screenshots
Kosuke troubled...
Lol...that shiny thing on Ibarada
Interesting...smirk...
Smirking Ibarada
Kanade looks worried
Kanade LOVE!!!
That moment...with Kanade
Interesting discussion...
LMAO!!! Kosuke!!!!

Hello, people. How is life? I'm running out of ideas on what to write on this blog even though I do have a few on hold. I'm trying to clear out the draft without too many new ones.
