AniSong Study: Ima Koko (イマココ)

Hi, people! How are you doing? Nice to have you here! I feel like changing the topic a little and talk about anime song (or in short, AniSong or Anison). Well, it has been a while since I have posted any special anime post. I wanted to do the one for Nanoha Detonation but wanna complete something that I have working on for quite a long while. Plus, I have always wanted to talk about anisong.

With that said, I'm gonna be talking about Tsuki ga Kirei's opening song, Ima Koko (イマココ)!!!!! Well, the name can be translated as Here, Now. Why that name? I will explore with you on this topic along the way. There could some spoilers here as I'm looking into this song not only in terms of the meaning of the lyrics but also in terms of how this song relates to the story. So yeah, the spoiler warning...is here once again. Anyway, let's go!!!!

To be honest, there is no need for introduction. It is the opening theme song of Tsuki ga Kirei and is quite beautiful. Anyway, here is the song on YouTube. Don't blame me if YouTube deleted it. Anyway, looking at the lyrics, it is easy to understand for me but it is VERY difficult to put what I understand about the lyrics into words. Wow...translation is hard work, man! BTW, looking at the lyrics, it shows itself to be very suitable for the anime. The feeling of teens falling in love is being portrayed very accurately and precisely. The awkwardness and anxiousness of meeting someone who might have an interest in you romantically. I think the reason for the song's name is because of what you and I think when in love. Do you want the person whom you are in love with to be with you here, now and always? Of course! It could also probably refer to the place where MC's confesses his love to the girl he loves (I think). Well, there is nothing more I could say about this song. It is a love song anyway.

It is actually a relatively easy song to translate and analyse, in my opinion. I had translated some songs on my own but they are very complicated to translate. I will present it to you guys next time. Since the anime related to it is centred around teenage romance, the song will obviously centre around the awkwardness of a teenage romantic journey. The song reminds me of the awkwardness and also the cute moments of the main couple. They are just so cute with each other. So far, it is probably the only non-moe anime that I seriously consider it to be cute. The song is cute and sweet and also right to the point. It speaks of the heart of teenagers being in love and the awkwardness of teenage romance. I like it! With that, I would like to conclude that the song is well-made and well-tuned to the anime's theme. Therefore, it is the perfect song for the opening theme song of Tsuki ga Kirei.
