Introduction
Ooh...O.O
The series, Domestic na Kanajo (in Japanese, ドメスティックな彼女), which has its name translated as Domestic Girlfriend, started as a manga series written and illustrated by Kei Sasuga on April 2014. This manga ended serialization not too long ago, which is on June 2020. I've seen the ending by the way...OMG...what on Earth, I have read? (-‸ლ)
Manga
Ahem! Anyway, it also has a digital version, I heard. Ooh...nice. As for the anime TV series, it is done by Diomedéa, which aired from January 12, 2019, to March 30, 2019, on the Animeism block, which is basically on a Saturday midnight. Ooh...you know what I mean if you've watched this anime. (≖ ͜ʖ≖)
Nice poster...
Back to the topic, right into the plot, shall we?
Plot
Hina, the teacher...
...that our MC, Natsuo is so madly in love with.
Rui...
The story starts with a young man and a high school student, Fujii Natsuo who is hopelessly in love with his teacher, Hina. After he heard that his teacher has a boyfriend and with his friends convincing him, he decided to go on a karaoke session with them to help himself to move on. There, he meets an odd girl, Tachibana Rui who invites him to sneak out, go into her house and asks him to have sex with her. Wow...wait, what?! Oh, by the way, the start of the story starts with the MC just had sex with someone. WTF?! Oh, there is a whole load of weird relationships and a lot more drama!
Natsuo is surprised...
...that the two girls are his family now.
Oh no...
Err...OK...? Awkward...
The drama intensifies when his father remarries to Tachibana Tsukiko, someone who is a mother of two daughters. The two of them are the teacher who he's in love with, Hina and the girl he had sex with, Rui. Yep...a lot of drama. The new life filled with drama and messy feelings of Natsuo begins! Well, it's better for you to watch it for yourselves because there's a lot of spicy moments and good moments in it. It's probably a dumpster fire anime for that kind of thing but it's not a dumpster fire story when you put aside those things and look further into the story. Anyway, not to waste any more time, let's move on!
Yep, they just had sex...
This is probably your reaction when you first watch this anime
A hint for a season 2?
Anime Rating
Story (Rating: 9/10)
The series...it talks about the controversial and conflicting nature of romantic relationships between step-siblings and also between a teacher and a student while highlighting the themes of youth, family, friendships, learning, growing up, and career. Yes, it's real life. Deal with it. Anyway, that aside...the anime really highlights the controversial romantic relationship between a student and his teacher who is also his step-sister. Wow...to be honest, I didn't wanna watch this for its nature but I decided to watch it after seeing the video that I've shown in the beginning. I found out that it's more than that. It's also about the pain of growing up. I feel that the flow and pacing of the story are really well-captured. I won't give a full mark because of the story's controversial nature. Oh, it is pretty OK in terms of understanding the story.
That intense moment...
More intense moments...
Art and Animation (Rating: 10/10)
Hmmm...Interesting, I say. The characters look pretty good. The animations are well-done and are consistent. The animation and art of the anime are well-drawn and really consistent. Oh, there's an interesting set of pictures at the end of every episode except the final episode. smirk...
O.O...WHAT?!
smirk...hehehe...
Beautiful scenery...
Sound and Music (Rating: 9/10)
The music and background music is appropriate and good. As for the opening song,...wow...probably the best song in that season. Impactful, I say. As for the ending theme song, it is pretty good too.
From the opening sequence...
Characters (Rating: 10/10)
Step-siblings...they're not blood-related, right? So...they can have a romantic relationship? OK, OK, calm down. Don't freak out. Putting aside the controversial step-sibling relationship, the character developments in this story are well-portrayed and well-done. Everything that they do...it feels like real life where the things you do have consequences. Wow...quite a hard hit. Anyway, it is really good and well-made. The character that I like is Rui but I believe you will find girls that you might like in this story when you watch it. The character buildings are really unique compared to most anime. It's not like the MC or anyone is an asshole that caused the messy situation but it's because of their messy feelings and making wrong decisions. Ahhh...youth. I'm already this old...sigh...ahem! Anyway, at this point, I think you should be able to judge it for yourselves on whether the characters in the story are relatable to us. As for the step-sibling thing, I'm not here to judge it. Not gonna comment.
Rui and Hina are having an intense confrontation...
A heartbroken Natsuo...sad
Enjoyment (Rating: 10/10)
Even though the controversial step-siblings relationship is present throughout the story, I really do enjoy it. The character development is really good and allows you to sympathize, understand and like them. I really do enjoy watching them (although I need to watch it alone as it is quite...ahem!) Oh, also, I enjoy Rui's pouts very much. xD
Rui is pouting...cute!
I enjoyed Rui's pouts, don't you?
Overall Rating: 9.6 (9.5)/10

Hina and Natsuo
Someone is gonna kiss!!!!

What an interesting moment...
Momo...isn't she cute?
Miu and Natsuo
Miu's smile is so sweet!
Ooh...a dangerous kiss...smirk...
O.O...did they just had sex?
Natsuo with the trophy
O.O...大胆ね...O.O

Conclusion
Well, it's the end of a blog post of me talking about a "dumpster fire" anime. I hope that you enjoy reading and browsing this blog. Goodbye, and God bless you! OK, yes, it is really short. To be honest, I dun have much to talk about this anime. It is really good. I do recommend it if you can get through the messy feeling between the step-siblings. Oh, I think I put a lot of screenshot from the anime, more than the usual ones. Anyway, I gotta go so once again, have a good day, goodbye and God bless you!
Oh hi. I'm back. It was a great pleasure to talk about the lullaby song sung by Columbina, the former Third Harbinger of the Fatui . That song isn't just a song with beautiful, delicate music that is accompanied by soft, reverberating vocals; it is a part of the masterpiece of storytelling in the Nod Krai Archon Quest, which has been part of the version where the developer's aim is to bring the majority of the players up to date with the important lore in the game. Columbina...Oh, Columbina... A lot of important lore is hidden in multiple in-game item descriptions, in-game books, in-game notes in the open world, and within open-world quests. Unfortunately, many people lead busy lives and don't have time to do their own research, leaving room for ambiguous speculation that doesn't help the game and creates chaos. It's great that the devs brought the previously "hidden" in-game lore to the surface via the Nod Krai Archon quest. Columbina!!!!! Ah, I wrote...
